Bodybuilding is the sport I chose. So why bodybuilding you ask. Well there are a verity of reasons, the main one is I can't lose. I train with everything I've got for weeks/months to step on stage, no matter what happens I come out winning. Simply because I will look my best regardless, so even if I don't get a trophy I still have my physique which is a trophy in itself.
Second reason, I am my team. This is not to say that I am not a team player because I am. However I alone determine my results. So at the end of the day if something goes wrong I have no one to blame but myself, this sense of accountability creates a big push and motivates me to do my best 24/7. Also I have never been a very social person, this does not mean that I am anti-social but growing up I ran with a small circle and mostly kept to myself. That is why me becoming a bodybuilder came at no surprise to those around me. When it's time to cut off the rest of the world and focus that is not a big deal for me. I rather enjoy the solidarity.
I'd like to say I choose bodybuilding because it is healthy, however often times it's not. I did choose natural bodybuilding because of the health aspects however but bodybuilding is extremely unhealthy on show day. We dehydrate ourselves which is very dangerous for your brain. Also the diet manipulation can be unhealthy at times but for the most part bodybuilding is a healthy sport.
I find bodybuilding extremely fulfilling and I enjoy every minute of it. It is a 24 hour a day 7 days a week sport and art form. You get no days off. It is both mentally and physically challenging. If you have the heart and give it everything you've got it will yield astonishing results.
My body is my personal work of art!
